New singers must participate in a Singing Placement to join our upcoming season.
Singing Placements take place June 4-8, 2024 at our locations in San Francisco and Emeryville. Rehearsals start in September.

To participate in a Singing Placement, we ask that singers turn 6 by September 30, 2024.

San Francisco Girls Chorus prepares singers from diverse backgrounds for success, on stage and in life, through rigorous, empowering music education, and enriches Bay Area cultural life through innovative vocal performance. We welcome girls, young women, and non-binary youth.
El candidato ideal para participar en la Escuela Coral de SFGC es un niño enérgico que posea los atributos musicales que generalmente se consideran requisitos para los más altos niveles de desempeño en la música coral: la aptitud para escuchar y oír las diferencias de tono, la capacidad para hacer coincidir los tonos con la voz, la capacidad de imitar los ritmos correctamente y un instinto para el canto. Interpretar música clásica, música contemporánea, música del mundo y algo de teatro musical bajo la guía de una facultad de intérpretes/educadores de élite;
Estudia la técnica vocal y aprende canto a la vista, habilidades de estudio y teoría musical;
Aprende a actuar con aplomo y confianza
