SFGC 2024-25 chorus classeS!

SFGC’s Singing Placements are currently closed for Fall 2024.

SFGC offers six levels of classes: Prep, Ensemble B, Ensemble C, Ensemble D, Concert Group and Premier Ensemble.

Our Prep Chorus provides young singers ages 4-5 the opportunity to develop their voices and musicianship in an exciting, positive, age-appropriate atmosphere. Classes are once a week for 45 minutes. No previous experience is necessary to join! For more information about our Prep Chorus for ages 4-5, please visit our Prep Chorus page. Registration is open through September 30, 2024.

All other levels (ages 6-15) are filled by singing placements. To participate in a Singing Placement, we ask that singers turn 6 by September 30, 2024. This ensures your singer is placed in the appropriate level for their age, ability, and learning interests.

For more information about our upcoming Singing Placements and enrollment for the next season, please fill out the Information Request Form below,
and a member of our staff will get back to you with more information.

The Elizabeth Avakian Scholarship Fund

The Elizabeth Avakian Scholarship Fund provides over $150,000 annually in scholarship support to over one third of SFGC’s choristers. Created out of the belief that all young people should have access to music education, the fund ensures that SFGC can support the needs of each family and chorister for as long as she is a member of the Chorus. The fund is more critical now than ever before, and SFGC is even more committed to making sure every young singer can continue in the Chorus during these challenging times.

How To Apply For Financial Assistance

We offer financial assistance for all programs. Scholarship applications are reviewed by a Scholarship Committee of the SFGC Board of Directors. Scholarships are entirely need-based.

The Scholarship Application can be found as a payment option on both our Summer and year-long program financial forms.

Important! After completing the scholarship application for our summer programs, you will not need to resubmit a scholarship application for Fall programs.
